Project: Historical Bronze Age Dagger with integrated guard/hilt
As seen in our other bronze projects, bronze is made by melting copper and tin together to create a new alloy that is very hard and durable. For this project, we are using a mix of 88% copper, 12% tin. This roughly matches many historical bronze items from the ancient world.
In this project we are making a historically accurate reproduction of an early bronze age dagger with an integrated hilt and guard. These types of daggers were fairly common during the ancient bronze age. |
